I am applying for a job and they want to run a driving record history check on me. How far back will they be able to see?

Background check vendors typically offer multi-tiered levels of service- criminal and driving records are typically 3 to 8 years depending on the level of service the company opts to pay for.

A good way sometimes to get around it- is to provide the national headquarters of former employers (assuming its different then the local location you worked at) and to lie or distort your residential history

THe reason for this is because they do not check criminal records at all states and counties, only the ones where they THINK you lived/worked-

only your past three years, every 3 yrs your driving record is clean, criminal record is 4 life.
