D. Microtubules provide the "railway" for which molecules in the cell can move around, and in this case to complete the mitosis process.

D, sort of. What these microtubules do is help with cytokinesis, or the actual cell division. In other words, they help compartmentalize and severthe connection between the daughter and parent cell.

TELOPHASE form spindle fibers yes, but microtubules don't help duplicate the DNA, so part of C is right-wrong. the cell plate of plants forms at the equator, but it is made of CELLULOSE, not protein microtubules. Who wrote this question? Good grief.
