My answer is exactly the same as yours! I have told my grandsons and my young neice that the word "HATE" is not acceptable. It is okay to dislike something, or not to care for something, but hate is much too strong and hurtful. It is absent from our vocabulary.

I used to say oh my god, or worse (omfg) over every single thing that surprised me..now I find it a little offensive and try not to use it, but it slips out sometimes.
ooh! I also remember as a teen I used to refer to things I didn't like as being "gay"...another horrible way to use a word...never again!

No. i think of that could be a substantial be conscious sometimes. working example, while some human beings says Jews they don't specify in the event that they are speaking approximately religious Jews or ethnic Jews.
