Yep, its true. Global Warming is real to the extent that the Earth is in fact warming up.

The little white lie is the fact that we HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT.

kjelstad: Thats a complicated question. A more direct answer would be the Sun did it, but because God created the Sun I guess you could say He is responsible as well.

Shhhh....don't confuse them with facts.

And "contributing" is NOT the same as "causing".

Global warming is a complex process that is affected by many environmental factors. Some of them can be controlled and some cannot. It is even difficult to make an assessment of average temperature on a global scale.

Reading the popular media can lead a person to conclude that "global warming" is:
o- either a hoax to promote business opportunities, politicians agenda and scientists grant money.....
OR
o- a problem related to overpopulation, industrialization and fossil fuels whose solution options lie in solar power, wind power, geothermal power and nuclear fusion....

However, the correct answer may be altogether different:

NASA has released never-before-seen images that show the sun's magnetic field is much more turbulent and dynamic than previously known. The international spacecraft Hinode, formerly known as Solar B, took the images. Hinode was launched Sept. 23 to study the sun's magnetic field and its explosive energy. National Aeronautics and Space Administration scientists said the spacecraft's uninterrupted high-resolution observations of the sun are expected to have an impact on solar physics comparable to the Hubble Space Telescope's impact on astronomy. "For the first time, we are now able to make out tiny granules of hot gas that rise and fall in the sun's magnetized atmosphere," said Dick Fisher, director of NASA's Heliophyics Division. "These images will open a new era of study on some of the sun's processes that effect Earth, astronauts, orbiting satellites and the solar system." Hinode is a collaborative mission led by
the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency and includes the European Space Agency and Britain's Particle Physics Astronomy Research
Council. NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., managed the development of the Hinode's scientific instrumentation provided by industry and federal agencies.

I thank most liberals really want to know what the Christan conservatives thank. Most of us believe in global warming. Not like Al Gore and his nut squad. which is nothing but political and power movement over control and money. But we believe the Bible past, present, and future. If you wont to know more look it up in the Word of God. KJB. It is in Gods hands not ours. The end is coming some day but we do not cry the sky is falling like Al Gore. Some day there will be a new heaven and earth, will you be there?

Yup, and Mars is heating up too. But I guess that is due to our rovers up there.

But before you libs give up on your little scam, I want to sell you some of my carbon credits. I'm making them out back, in my bunker. If you want, I'll autograph the first 50 orders.

edit: crabbyboy4: I remember when the Lib's favorite scientist was Carl Sagan and he was showing us neat cartoons of winter in the Sahara.

Alphabet: Rudy and McCain are not conservatives. Dropping their names mean diddly-squat to us skeptics. You might as well throw ahnolds name in there too.

Why do you take this so personally? Further, why are you trying to tell people they have no right to believe that humans have an impact on the planet?

There is no way to gauge whether or not we're impacting global warming, because there's no way to tell what the planet would be like if we weren't around. So just calm down. It really isn't worth being so hostile about.

Global warming is a joke. All of the planets have global warming right now.

Most global warming theorists have never heard of the term "solar variability". Solar variability caused the earth to leave the ice age in less than 20 years, and it caused the earth to have a little ice age several hundred years ago.

NASA: "Rapid changes between ice ages and warm periods (called interglacials) are recorded in the Greenland ice sheet. Occurring over ONE OR TWO DECADES, the warming of the Earth at the end of the last ice age happened much faster than the rate of change of the Earth’s orbit."
NASA link: http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/Study/Paleoclimatology_Evidence/Images/gisp2_temperature.gif

NASA data has proved that the "Little Ice Age" was caused by less light reaching the earth ("solar variability", which means changes in the sun).

NASA's data about the little ice age. http://tinyurl.com/227h3p or ftp://ftp.ncdc.noaa.gov/pub/da... (This data can be copied and pasted it into Excel to chart it.)

Other facts:
1) 6,000 years ago, the earth was hotter than it is today. 6,000 years is less than a second when compared with the age of the earth.

2) Temperatures dropped in the 1950's and 1990's when CO2 levels were increasing.

3) 140,000 years ago the earth had record CO2 levels and there were no gasoline powered cars.

4) 20,000 years ago, Canada was one big ice cube and half of the U.S. was covered with Ice. The grand canyon was formed by melting ice ages over 20 million years.

5) The temperature of the Earth has only increased by 0.65 of a degree in the last 110 years. There were faster increases in temperatures around 10,000 years ago and there were no gasoline powered cars during that time

6) NASA scientific data has shown most of the changes of temperature are due to changes in the Sun. Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto all have global warming right now

7) Also, strong hurricanes are normal. Hundreds of years ago, they used to sink ships off of the coast of Florida.

8) THIS GLACIER DIDN'T EXIST 7,000 YEARS ago. And that was after the Ice Age.

Ugh! So sick of this. Lib, con, whatever, there's no denying it's happening. And we may never know the real cause. So let's all stop arguing about the cause and just do something about it!

Scientists predicted this 20 years ago and told us why it would happen. You just weren't paying attention back then.
