I am staying with a church member while I locate a new apartment. She has DSL - I have wireless. How will I be able to surf the net from her home?

Can't use dial up (who'd want to anyway), and this is only for a few months so I don't want to invest in a lot of stuff.

I am having to go to libraries to surf on their internet, but that does me no good when I get off work, when I do the greater balance of net-ting.

Any ideas?

Connect the DSL modem to a wireless router (or get a router that has a DSL modem built in). Then connect the computers to the router.

See http://www.microsoft.com/athome/moredone/wirelesssetup.mspx for more details.

If your friend doesn't have a LAN or WLAN device already, you'll need one of these to connect her existing computer to the router.

I think you would have to buy a wireless router. I do believe that it is the only way. Unless of course she already has one for some strange reason.
