You could get a semi hollow guitars as someone mentioned. If you want the true acoustic sound, you could look into guitars with Piezo pickups built in. They tend to be more expensive than semi-hollow, or plain ol' electric, but you can go from electric to acoustic with a flick of the switch.

Parker Flys are very famous for that. Also, Musicman's John Petrucci model, I believe Ibanez makes an RG model that has piezo.

Background: Playing for 30 years
Gear: 7 guitars (strat, tele, Les Paul, blah blah blah & 5 basses)

Answer: Try an epiphone Dot 335. I just bought one and it covers all bases. Plays killer electric and you can sit and play it unplugged and get a full sound out of it while not disturbing anybody. I should've bought one of these years ago.
If my place was on fire and I could only grab one; the 335 would be it. Check one out!
