Tough question, but I saw New Order a couple of times about 20 odd years ago, once at The Hacienda and then again at Birchwood (Warrington). Absolutely amazing, before all the really commercial stuff, early stuff like Ceremony and Everythings Gone Green and they were still playing quite a few Joy Division tracks. Amazing. I reckon they were the best two gigs ever. Closely followed by REM at Liverpool Empire, again 20 odd years ago. Ooops am I really that old!!!

Since then though, the Wonderstuff at the International (Manchester), because I got covered in bruises. PWEI somewhere in Birmingham, because three of us slept in my trusty Fiesta in a multistorey carpark that night. Those were the days!

Then incredibly recently, last night in fact, MCR - amazing.

But one thing - of all the gigs I have been to, and there are many in my time. You CAN NOT beat small venues!!!!!

My best concert was seeing Rush for the first time with Prymus at the opening act. This was back in 92 or 93 before they imploded Market Square Arena in Indianapolis Indiana. I was 3rd row from the stage. TOTALLY THE BEST!! I've been to alot over the years and this was the best...right next to Megadeth at the Convention Center in Indy.

i went to see Blink 182 at Earls Court a couple of years ago and they were great. Travis done a drumming solo that lasted for about 10 mins - he rose up on a platform out of a box in the middle of the floor during the break. that man is an incredible drummer. and my friend had gone to the loo and missed the whole thing!

When I went to the Leeds Festival 2004 there were loads of great bands, Green Day were absolutely fantastic live, they really got the crowd going. The White Stripes were brilliant as well, those are the two that really stood out for me.

I went to see Fall Out Boy in January with New Found Glory, LifeTime, and Permenant Me.
It was a great show, and all the bands were awesome.

Iron Maiden at Sheffield Arena in 1993 and 2003. They really know how to put on a show.

And Metallica at the Leeds Festival in 2003. I saw them on my 30th birthday. Best birthday present EVER!!!
