Give some details on the water (good for surfing?), sand, things to do on the beach...crowded and isolated areas...local attractions. Thanks!

yes, fun, especially with friends. there is alot of sea weed tho... everywhere!! its jellyfish season, too, so there's plenty of those. i was there a week or 2 ago and got stung on the toe. it only hurt for about half and hourso no big deal.
padre island is alot nicer tho. its about 30-45 minutes away depending on where you are.

Yeah, it's nice. I heard there's lots of trash along the beach. The one on mustang island is alot better. might be a bit more crowded during the summer though. A good time to go is during the Bucc Days!

I go there every other weekend during the summers, and I love it. I camp out on the beach, since it's so clean. And there is alot to do there, and my family and friends enjoy it. I never surf there, so I dont know about that, but the rest are a plus!! Hope this helps...
