I asked for a guitar for high school grad and a nice camera for college grad.
got both.
if you like art, ask for a selection of professional art supplies.
if you like music, ask for lessons on a particular instrument or voice lessons
if you are interested in cooking, ask for lessons from a chef
if you enjoy fitness activities, ask for a gym membership
if you are interested in history, ask for a trip to a special historic site
if you enjoy photography/scrapbooking, ask for a digital camera kit and scrapbooking supplies
if you like clothing, ask for a gift certificate/shopping trip to your favorite shop.
don't just ask for money. that is crass and sound sort of greedy. be specific about things you like.
maybe you could ask for a really nice party with all of your friends with all of your favorite refreshments.

Hi,
First of all congrats on your graduation. Well I want to know wether it is a high school graduation or a university(college) graduation. Anyhow these are my gift ideas for a graduation. But you can ask for anything that's in your mind which will suit your family budget.
Well if you go for gifts that won't break the budget I would suggest,
*Camera,
*Gift Cards(Buy a card for a clothing store)
* DVD player, IPOD, Sound System,
*Photo album with family pictures(Really great when it comes from Mom or Grandma )
*Engraved jewelry or Personalized Graduation Item (
A keepsake for a special day)
But if you are looking for a big prize I would suggest,
*Vacation. Europe? The Caribbean? Hawaii?
*Car
*Laptop
*Cell Phone if you dont have a very good one
*Furniture for your own apartment
*Small refrigerator( good for a college freshman)
*** Good Luck*****

How about a nice pair of diamond stud earrings? Several family members can chip in and buy you a nice pair from a fine jewelry store. One-half carrot (total weight) is a good size to get, not too small and not too large.

A 2-week trip abroad. Europe, Asia, South America or somewhere even more exotic.

Let them surprise you.
Nothing is going to be as pleasant as a pleasant surprise that fits your needs.
Ask for a trip to Indian countryside if you must ask. India will touch your heart pleasantly.
