The manual just says to use the "recommended lubricant" but I can't find anywhere what that would be. Please let me know what I'm looking for when I walk into the autoparts store. Thanks.

your local ford dealer would know.my guess would be either automatic tranny fluid or 90 weight gear oil.check your local ford dealer.

i own a repair shop and if you,ll look in the owners manual it will tell you exactly what to use in it,most of all the newer ones now use transmission fluid,it lubricates a lot better and doesn't thicken up in cold weather,id say yours use tranny fluid also but check the manual it will tell you, good luck with it hope this helps.

it should say somewhere else in your manual, just look under capacities or something, they wouldn't not put it in the manual, but if you cant possibly find it in there ask your local ford dealer, they would know, or they would have a book that says it, good luck!
