, 23, of Denver, Colo., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Nov. 23, 2006, outside his home in Denver after a sudden illness. Services: 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, Word of God Lutheran Church for the Deaf, Cedar Rapids. The body was cremated.

Survivors include his parents, Lois Swalley of Breckenridge, Colo., and Alex Swalley of Denver; and a brother, Brian Swalley of Mount Vernon.

Also surviving are his maternal grandmother, Anna Bell of Mount Vernon; and his paternal grandmother, Una Swalley of Cedar Rapids.

Joshua was born Dec. 24, 1982, in Cedar Rapids. He attended Marion High School and Summit County High School in Breckenridge, Colo.
