I've been actively seeking employment, and I know that until I'm hired, every single application, every single interview will pave my path of unemployment. However, failing at the task (landing a job) doesn't mean other benefits aren't garnered, nor that other things aren't learned.

No, I don't try unless I believe I can succeed, if ever I knew I was going to fail, then it would be fruitless attempting it.
If you had asked if I would try even if I thought I would fail, then yes, because I could still succeed.

you have to think positive how do you know you will fail if you don't try. You will feel better with your self if you try than if you do nothing

Sure because practice makes perfect the more you practice the better you'll be....If Orville and Wilbur quit knowing their first plane wouldn't fly...we wouldn't have air travel today! So No never quit no matter the outcome!
