I have felt that my fridge has not been right for the past week and my landlord sent someone out yesterday, that supposeably fixed it and left a thermometer in it. This morning I got up and it still read 58 degrees. I feel like I should throw away the food. I also have been making many trips to the bathroom for a day or so.

I never eat anything, left over wise, after 2days in the frige reguardless of the temp. Now at the right temp most food is good for at least a week. Your fridge should read no warmer than 48 degrees. I agree with the rest of the answerers on this. Dump all food and if you can make your land lord reemberse you for groceries and health related products like stomach aides and toilet paper. Sounds funny i know but we went through this when our land lord let the electric problems escalate and we lost all the food in our fridge. It was like $100 or more of food. He did after we submitted a receipt. Be careful and trust your gut on food. Look into your own repair man and send the bill to your land lord. If he gives you trouble you can go to the better business bureau in your town and look up the standards that land lords have to keep up for the safety of their tenants.
