I doubt it.
Already Cricket is well established in India and Pakistan. The sponsors and the number of cricket watching people will not reduce in these two countries.
But cricket is not famous in Ireland. In order to promote cricket in Ireland this might have happened.
Ireland is richer than Pakistan.
So more ADVERTISEMENTS
more CRICKET WATCHING VIEWERS,
more SPONSORS, from Ireland
MORE MONEY FOR "ICC"
No one expected that Bangladesh will win.India has a stronger batting lineup than Srilanka.
Yet Srilanka could score above 300 but India could not even touch 200.
What is this?
But let us hope that it is not match fixing and let not ICC get a bad name.

Hey man, if each match India lost is fixed, then all matches are fixed ;-) We have a big problem to accept failures. After all it is a game - so expect a loss here and there. Another 2-3 big wins for Bangladesh and no one would even say they upset some country :-) A couple of decades ago when India won the world cup, we were (on papers) worse than Bangaldesh today - but yet no one thought it was fixed. Remember Bangladesh has beat a lot of big names earlier too and on their day, coupled with opponent's bad day, they can beat anyone. So swallow the bitter pill dear and get on with life. It is not the end of the world. Put away the kaala part in your dal and enjoy the rest of it.

I strongly feel that attributing the reason for the defeat of India and Pakistan to match fixing and totally unfair for the excellent performance produced by Bangladesh and Ireland.

I suspect there was some foul play at the Pakistan match. They didn't just lose they got hammered by an associate team and I find it hard to believe.

Why do we always tag it as a fixed match when a test playing nation looses from a mino, especially the sub-continentals even I am a Pakistani.

I would have believed it if this had happen few years back but now rules are strict and teams can not do it that easily . as during past few years few players are punished and this has made players careful !!Bookies might be doing their illegal job but i doubt it that they could manage to get these matches fixed !

as much as i hate to admit it, it would explain why ireland (£2,000/1) somehow mysteriously managed to knock Pakistan (currently ranked #4) out of the World Cup...it's the National game of Pakistan for God's sake and hardly anyone even knew ireland had a cricket team up til now!!!!

no surprises imo, and india and pakistan should be ranked amongst the minnows..
pakistans loss to ireland was not a surprise to me.. i actually predicted them to win (check out my earlier posts)
as far as over rated india is concerned , they deserved it.
