It's all illegal - but more to the point, if this is a homework question, I dread to think what kind of school it is ! ! !

I will assume that you ask for research purposes.
Prostitution is legal in the UK but many of the activities that prostitution involves are illegal.
I fail to see how a serious researcher can even ask the question of children in the UK which is certainly not in the league of some third world countries as far as paedophilia is concerned.

Prostitution is illegal in the UK although prostitution is, for the most part, tolerated by the police. Brothels are generally tolerated more than street prostitution.
Of course, child and youth prostitution is illegal due to the age of consent being 16 years old and the possible exploitation by sex traders and paedophiles of young children.

Despite the uninfomed answers above... prostitution is _not_ illegal in the UK.
ALL child and youth (below the legal age of consent) sex is illegal, in the UK, whether it is prostitution or not

obviously, CHILD prostitution is illegal in most parts of the world - it is wrong and it is sick.

All prostitution is illegal in the UK, as is having sex (whether consensual or not) with a girl under 16. Whether a girl 13 or under gives consent or not, it is statutory rape.

All prostitution is illegal in the UK. Besides its illegal to have a sex before your 16'th birthday so yeah I'd say that it is illegal.
