In England and Wales: child prostitution is specifically illegal for the person paying (where child is defined as younger than 18, although the age of consent is 16)

Prostitution is illegal in the UK at any age. Though child and youths are seen as victims rather than criminals and hopefully are given the support and care they need

Just to totally confuse things - from a legal point of view - prostitution is not illegal, living off immoral earnings, keeping a brothel, procurement of people (of any age), kerb-crawling, paying for sex, inducement, enticment are illegal. having sex with someone under 16 is illegal. to clarify prostitution is in itself not illegal but everything that surrounds it is.
