How do I get the laptop onto the PC internet connection? I see the signal but it is very low. Anything I can do about that?

Move closer to the DSL provider(just kidding). The DSL works in a 25 mile range and you need a repeater installed. If the signal is dropping complaint to DSL company and they will install one.

One other thing you can try is use the DHCP server from router instead from any other computer which will make you connection easy to configure.

Your laptop might not be in close enough range to the router, the farther it is from it, the slower the connection with be.

Call your WiFi Router manufacturer for tech support after you read the Router manual.

Some modems have a firewall in them. I dont know the exact one you have so I can not help all that much but if you go to the site www.portforward. Their firewall section can help you....if thats the case.

did you install the software..? The router might be to far from your laptop.
