i was on a ski trip this week and i just got back yesterday. the very first day we were there, my camelbak backpack was stolen and so was my ipod. thats $450 worth of stuff right there. i know the serial number of my ipod, is there anyway i can get in contact with the apple company and they can send me another or should i just start saving my money again?

Why should they send you another one? It wasnt their fault that you werent watching your backpack better.

There's no way apple will send you another ipod. If I could just call them and give them my ipod serial number, I would have like 50 ipods right now. lol. So I suggest saving your money. Maybe get a refurbished ipod nano. 1gb-$80 2gb-$90 They also have refurbished ipods(the new kind) Silver 2gb-$114, other colors 4gb $160. Maybe go back to the ski place and see if they have a security camera and catch the guy/gal that stole it. lol. sorry but sometimes life sucks

There is absolutly no way that they will send you another Ipod. What would stop anyone from "claiming" that it was stolen, and then get another one for free??
Start saving your money, and get another one.

no they will not give you a new ipod! you should buy a cheaper one like an MP3 OR ipod shuffle! you better get started and save some money!

well you should do both you should take this into your hands and not let it up because like you said that is a lot of money and i cant even tell if you are cool about it because i wouldnt i have one a black nano and if someone stole it i would be so mad but i probally would have done both

There is a service which will allow you to track your stolen devices, but you have to have the software installed before it is stolen.
