I hate that I went to Best Buy to get a part time job and when I asked for an application they said you have to apply over the internet. When you apply for them it is like a 300 question personality test along with the average info as well. Why can't you just apply with the store supervisor anymore. People can spend an hour filling out these long applications and never even get a response, at least give the people that take the time to work for you a response. I must of got a thumbs down buy somebody that works at best buy lol, and i'm speaking about other places as well. I applied for a job somewhere else and they didn't give me an interview because I had a street address wrong at an old address of mine from 6 years ago. I put 111 China St. when it was 112 China St.; that was absurd.

i totally hate filling out applications... to make matters i worse don't like writing and of course my handwriting sucks....i have to concentrate on writing neatly and try to remember previous employers, names, phone numbers, addresses, job duties etc. and if you've been employed more than once that can be a bit much. i wish everything was done electronically and a resume is enough....it can be tedious and boring....applications should be optional or done away with!!!

me!!! I hate the going back and trying to figure out all the dates.. coming up with a reason I didn't stay or was let go...
I kept saying I was going to make copies of the job application so I would have all the dates, but I never did. Adn then your hands cramp up.. Especially if you get one of those applications where they want to know EVERY DETAIL of your life! That is so rough!
Now I don't work outside the home at all. I stay home and work by taking care of my family. It does't pay well, but the benefits are awesome. I even get to sleep with my boss!

They are the same. If a business offers on line applications, use that if you want. Send in paper if you want. Be sure to read the instructions. Some places will only take on line applications.

Yup applications are about as boring to fill out as having to get your teeth drilled. But if you don't want to fill them out by hand theres electronic ones now check into it.

It is god-awful. The worst by far is 'work history'. Having to rehash your stupid life over and over and over. Writing the stupid dates of when and what, like it even matters. Finding old phone numbers for jerk bosses that no longer exist. Especially when all this already on your resume. Chalk it up to lazy hiring personnel. They always hire the wrong person anyway.

I hate it so much. What's the point of loading up your resume if you are going to write exactly what is on it on application forms.

I do and the worst part is trying to remember who your previous employers were and your supervisors names. I hate when you have to fill out like 3 or 4 pages long.
