Well the smarter one should be Patrick because in the real world sponges can not move and are only made up of 4 different cell types. Star fish can move and have a better development of a body than a sponge. But since its a cartoon, it would have to be sponge bob, because his name is in the title, he has a job, and a better house.

SpongeBob of course; he´s the STAR of the show.
Patrick is really MEAN to Bob a lot of times. The dummy is really Bob who doesn´t notice this or the hero is really Bob who doesn´t ever hold a grudge!
I like Gary too and anybody else in the show but Patrick.

i prefer squidward, he acts like he doesnt like spongebob but you know he really does. but if i had to pick it would be patrick (I really like gary too)
