Evolution is a theory, and as such it cannot be proven. Sorry to break this news to you since you are in such dire straits. The facts upon which Evolution is based are there and the argument for Evolution is convincing, even with its flaws, but it will always be just a theory.

It is difficult to prove something to someone who is insistent on not believing something (not suggesting that you are). Evolution is one of the few things in science that is supported by so much evidence that is sometimes not called a theory. Evolution has been proven by numerous ways since it was first theorized. Darwin didn't know about genetics. We now do. We now know the mechanism for mutation. We can measure those mutations and show how animals that are closely related to us have DNA that is very similar. Animals that are more distantly related have DNA that is not as similar. It is measurable. You can fairly accurately estimate the date when we shared a common ancestor with Chimpanzees. It was 5 to 8 million years ago. This corresponds with fossil evidence though being a geologists, I understand the scarcity of fossil evidence. There are many other proofs such as transitional forms, etc... but for me the DNA is the most direct. Hope that helped.

There have been several recent proofs. Scientists introduced a predator to an island. The lizards quickly evolved to have longer legs which helped them to run away faster. Scientists were amazed however when this then quickly reversed to shorter legs which gave them to rapidly climb trees to escape. This showed that behavioral flexibility may often drive extremely rapid shifts in evolution. - National Science Foundation and National Geographic Society.

A group of organisms that has never had sex in over 40 million years of existence has nevertheless managed to evolve into distinct species. Bdelloid rotifers, microscopic aquatic animals that live in watery or occasionally wet habitats including ponds, rivers, soils, and on mosses and lichens. These tiny asexual creatures multiply by producing eggs that are genetic clones of the mother -- there are no males. Fossil records and molecular data show that bdelloid rotifers have been around for over 40 million years without sexually reproducing, and yet this new study has shown that they have evolved into distinct species. Proof that natural selection has driven their divergence into distinct species.

Recent research indicates that hybridization is not only widespread in nature but it might also spawn many more new species than previously thought.

A growing number of studies has been presented as evidence that two animal species can combine to produce a third, sexually viable species in a process known as hybrid speciation. Newly identified examples include both insects and fish.

Christians have trouble with evolution but why? They readily say man was created perfectly and then fell from grace. Why not then allow for evolution after the event. Not what science would say but surely it would fit in with their faith!

The process known as "micro-evolution" has been proven, It's impossible not to believe in it on a small scale. Anyone will admit that, even conservative types. "Macro-evolution" is simply a chain of "micro-evolution" Stretched out over billions of years, micro isn't so micro anymore. Changes that start small become big.

I'm not sure that anyone can prove evolution to you, it is a belief. Evolution is a scientific explanation for our existence while creation is more of a super natural explanation.

It isn't for someone to prove to you, you have to find that answer for yourself. Maybe neither answer is correct, maybe there is more to it or it is something simple. I don't worry to much about how we came to be myself. We are here, nothing more, nothing less.

You exist, you think, you have DNA there fore you must have evolved. I wouldn't expect a creationist to understand such a complex answer.
