over 10k+ books full Internet satellite access alot of research centers and places to find books wikipedia for school reports. Top floor should be a nice lounge style study room complete with fans and vending machines. and on the basement floor the "adult" section. But on the 1st floor should be a childrens play area and all their books. Oh And anti-bum security.!

allow not censorship of thought and word...

maybe have an adult section and a general section for the people who screem ..porn, racism, anit-left or right wing..etc etc.

i do not believe the public should be censored and you might want to have a GP area ...to cater to minors and those who are ultra conservative..
i know people who won't even allow the readers digest..says it corrupts their family..

book burners are bullies at best and even on Yahoo. they bump people without a fair trial...it has changed my idea of the fairness of the system..but i can't fight city hall

and i will comply with their guildlines...even though i think they ae penalizing the wrong people for the wrong reasons..
but you can't fight a machine...the machine has no emotions and feeling...it is big brother and in the end you are just preaching to the choir.

My library already seems great!
I can borrow DVDs(new & old titles),videos, CDs, books, books on tape or CD, and the childrens library(inside the library) is great with toys, books, edu. software(leapfrogs also to borrow) and plenty of PC access!

If I could change even one thing for the better, it would be downloadable databases for books (but I guess that would infringe on best-seller-lists huh!?!)

Ditch the written word on dead trees. Use CD's and ebooks stored in the network database. Also, interactive stuff and videogames. IM clients, knowledge-downloading booths (a-la The Matrix).
