A GB (or gigabyte) is 1024 megabytes (MB), so you would multiply 160 x 1024 to get your answer

Hard disk manufacturers do not use the conventional PC base 2 measurement of 1024KB per MB.
They use the 1000 base measurement..

The problem with this is that Windows measures the hard disk capacity with 1024KB per MB ....
.....which makes the disk seem smaller that what was advertised by the manufacturer.

So .. according to the manufacturer it is 160,000 MB
According to Windows it will show as a little less.
