I am looking to purchase a craft kit - video or CD that would explain 1. how to do the craft; 2. have all the supplies necessary to do the craft . I need it for the assisted home I work in; just plug it in and the folks could watch it, craft at the same time and go at their own speed. The craft should be easy enough for seniors; mainly gluing, cutting, pasting, etc. Thanks for your help.

Having done something similar (class projects) with kids we used Discount School Supply for our craft needs. I mentioned this in other posts, for a school supply outfit they carry TONS of crafts materials at really good prices. They have have some great "classroom kits" i think would be perfect for you but not sure if they come with videos. The kits come with a little bit of everything and have different types to choose. Checkout the links below and have fun!

There's no substitute for doing it along with them. I am the mother of an adult with autism, and I go to the sheltered workshop once a week to help him and his friends build birdhouses. You have to be there to pace it because the pace will be different each time. Many need hand over hand the first few times, or even to remind them if they are having a foggy day.

For example, my son won't touch glue so I have to plop the glue on and then he applies whatever items to it.

Advertise for volunteers to do this if you don't have the staff. You shouldn't have any trouble recruiting volunteers. It's a lot of fun.
