The 6th Floor Museum in downtown Dallas is where the Kennedy assassination took place. It is close to the West End that is an entertainment district.

Hi,
I'm presently in Dallas for 3days. I'm first time in US and Dallas. If you are coming for three daya for Dallas. I will suggest you take a combo tour of Dallas and Fort Worth by gray line (call local no 214-988-3000) when you arrive there at 8:30 in morining and they will cover allmost every thing in Dallas. Apart of the tour you can also go to Reunion tour in Dallas Down town near west end district in evening time and enjoy the dinner and sight seeing. Hope you will enjoy as much as I have.

There are a million things to do in Dallas. If you like:

To shop, check out the Galleria, Mockingbird Station or West Village.
The outdoors, try White Rock Lake.
Art, there is an incredible art district in downtown.
History, go to 6th street museum and the old red courthouse.
Music, your scene is Deep Ellum.
To party, got straight lower greenville.
The Gay District, go to the Cedar Springs area.

Farmers Market, West End Market, Dealy Plaza (Sixth Floor Museum), and Reunion Tower (go up in it at night). Pioneer Plaza is a nice place to take a walk and read-up on a little cattle trail history. If you can afford it (about $65/head) go eat at Fogo de Chao in Addison (unless you're a vegetarian!) I hear the Ft Worth Zoo is great, but I never got there.
