is it me or is the old grouchy dude that runs that napa auto parts just pure evil? my wife went in there the other day and he gave her a 10 minute lecture about knowing your car and then he told her to just take it to a dealer and have it fixed instead of bothering him for parts

thats why napas are privately owned. I worked at one in Rockford,IL the owner was a tight wad. same pure evil. expected you to not take a lunch and eat there in the store. Would get pissed cause I wanted to leave the bldg for lunch. when other stores had computers we had to look up parts from books. All us workers drove used cars because we couldnt afford new ones but the owner had a new car every other yr and a cabin to spend a month at everyyear in the summer. Call or write a letter to NAPA headquarters.

NAPA is more expensive, but you usually get good parts and the people know what they are doing. I've only been to O'Reilys once and it seemed alright. Auto Zone has super cheap parts, but be sure you know exactly what you need because most of the people who work there are not so bright all the time. My rule of thumb: If I know the part I need, I go to Auto Zone and get the part for a great deal. If I don't know the part I need or am very confused about something, I spend the extra money at Napa for the good service and smart employees.

damn, small world.i knew a guy that worked there a few years ago.he was only 32 when he found he got cancer.the old guy that youre talking about would whine and complain every time my friend had to go get chemotherapy.eventually he fired him because he went to the doctor too much.my friend died the next year.youre right, that guy is pure evil.he was prob pissed off because my friend died and missed work.he never asked him how he was feeling, sent him a card, anything.i met the old guy a couple times,he hates everything and everyone unless youre gonna spend 10k in his store.thats too bad because napa has good quality parts, but they need to do something about there outta control jobbers/independent owners.even if you called and complained napa wouldnt do anything unless it was something real major.i hate to sound cold but just because he gave her a lecture doesnt mean they will lift a finger to do anything about it.just dont go in there anymore.
he will get his eventually if there is a god.try and find a napa thats company owned not independtly owned.

It's about time Mr. Grouchy Pants took a reality pill. I guess he's doesn't realize that each person who comes through the door & buys something, is helping to keep him employed.
It's no different from him going into a florist shop & getting lecture on flowers.
I would write a letter to head office & register your complaint.
