I have a 98 Saturn SC2 that does not have a front license plate frame. It is now (or has been for awhile) illegal to have only one license plate on a car in Missouri. So, my question is where in the world do I get a bracket for the front of my car to mount a license plate on? And about how much do they cost? I know where to find a frame (Walmart, any parts store), but not sure about a bracket or whatever!! Help me please! :)

You can get them from the Saturn Dealer. They're typically in the $30 to $50 range. If you don't live near a dealer, there are Saturn parts places online where you can show. You can try www.saturnparts.net or www.saturnparts.com. The shipping is a bit steep at both places, but is still a bargain if you don't have a Saturn retailer close to where you live.

Good luck.

Are there holes where there used to be a front bracket? Or is the front bumper totally smooth?

If there are holes, then just get a license plate frame kit from a store (measure the distance between them just in case, but they are pretty standardized).

If not, get the kit anyway, then get a drill, and carefully drill some holes the correct distance apart (make sure to make it level). Use some rubber washers against the plastic, with metal washers behind them, and bolt the plate and frame on.

Or, as a cheap quick alternative - you can always just get some epoxy and just glue the stupid plate to the bumper. (Of course if you ever have to change the plate, you might have fun getting it back off again without destroying the bumper - then again, you could always just glue the new one onto the old one.)
