I love E-Bay I have been buying and selling on there for a few years now, there are some great deals, and sometimes I actually make good money too.

EBAY has gotten more and more corrupt over the years. Sure there are fraud sellers that sell fake and crappy merchandise but the real problem is in the way that EBAY now allows bidders to hide. Fake bidding can easily be hidden now and buyers can easily get ripped off. EBAY has an interest in auctions going higher because they collect higher fees. When I have caught actual frauds on EBAY and reported them EBAY does nothing about it. Bottom line, EBAY is great for selling criminals and bad news for honest buyers.

I've been a Member of Ebay for quite some time, and I absolutely love it.
I've purchased Clothing, Computer items,Shoes, Jewelery and Graphics Software.
Not only can you find what you want, You can get it cheaper than you would in the store.
You have a secure server to make payments and the item is delivered right to your front door.
I have not been on the sellers end of E-Bay, so maybe someone else will give you their perspective on that.
Give it a try! it is addictive.....lol

As a seller it sucks.I closed my account recently because between listing fees and final cost fees they end up getting 25% of every sale,and the fees keep going up about 2 times a year.Very unhappy with ebay.Then on top of that paypal charges fees too.And then you have people that don't pay but ebay still gets their fees even though they aren't supposed to charge you if the people don't pay.

Totally unsafe. Too many fraudulent auctions and sellers.
Google "vladuz + ebay" to see how vulnerable eBay's systems are (read: wide open to hackers).
I heard CNN was supposed to run a big story about them on the 15th, but then eBay bought a whole bunch of advertising, so they squelched it. That's how eBay avoids all kinds of bad press.

I like ebay. It's a way to find good deals and to get rid of old items you don't want. I hate the fees they charge. But I like that I can sell my kid's old clothes on there and use that money to buy them new ones!!
