I've been offered a job at a Country Club as a server in the dining room for lunch, dinner and for private parties that the members will be holding in their banquet room.

I want to know if I will make money in this position. I'm well aware that I will probably make below min. wage, b/c I will be receiving tips.

This is OK, I currently work at a chain resturant, so I'm use to the low pay.

What I want to know is if I will get good tips. I've heard rich people are sometimes great tippers and some don't tip at all. I've never known anyone that has worked in one, so I don't know if these claims are true or not.

Any Insight?

The more personality you display and your being there to fill their glasses and things will earn you tips. The waiters who are always smiling and friendly and the ones who never let your glass go empty will ALWAYS do better than the waiters who are just there to make a check.

Yes the pay is good sometimes. It will all depends on you. How you will treat them. Tips from private parties are real good. Think positive.

Good Customer service, wish them when they enter, serve them with smile, wish them while they are leaving. Do not stand very close to them, particularly when they are settling their bill. Follow this basic rules of hospitality, tips will follow you. Good luck.
