I was at the Washington vs. Portland game (final 98-100) Tuesday night, and couldn't understand why the fans singled out Gilbert to boo everytime he got the ball. Thanks in advance for your comments.

Actually he scored nineteen on like 5-24 shooting and 9/14 from the free throw line.

Because he has beef with the head coach and last time the Wizards played at Portland he told the media he was going to score 50 points! Turns out he had his worst game of the year. I think he scored 9 points.

He said he was going to score at least 50 points against them in their first match up because he was cut from the Olympic team.
He kept his promise against Mike D'Antoni's Suns both times, but failed to do so against the Blazers the first go around, scoring a measly nine points and suffering through the worst game of the season.

it is because the blazers are part of what arenas called as "redemption tour" where he plans to score tons of points against the teams coached by those who cut him during the olympic try out. thats why he blogged he will score 50 against the blazers last month to show them that they made the wrong decision of cutting him off the line up.

I think he said he could score 50 points on them anytime he played them. It was in Februrary and he could have said more than 50, I just know he said he could as high as he wanted to go.
