Is this just Nature's way of telling us that we are mal-crafted and evolutionarily unsound?

dogs lick their bottoms. Would you rather do that?

Unfortunately, evolution means that our...errrmmm... 'holes' are wedged between our buttocks and it causes a bit of a mess that animals don't have because their bum-holes are pointing outwards. Also, it's apparently unnatural for us to go sitting down on a toilet. Humans should probably 'squat' down low. Luckily, standing upright also allowed us to free our upper limbs, develop opposable thumbs, make and use sophisticated tools and develop our society to the level it's at now! Wiping your bum is a small price to pay! (And as others have so rightly pointed out... we don't have to lick like dogs and cats...dunno about you but I'd rather use Andrex than my tongue...)

I think they do need to wipe their bottoms but their paws can't do the work. Dog's bums are always covered with poo after they go. It's not unusual for them to wipe themselves on carpets.

dogs do wipe! ever seen them slide their butts across the ground only using the front two paws to scoot forward? thats what they're doing. I don't think we'd get completely clean back there and odor and crust free if this is how we wiped.

When I was in grade two I had to sit by this boy that smelled like he never wiped EVER! Please wipe ...every time I smell a dirty diaper I think of Brett, the stinky second grader.
Ps. Dogs tongues are their toilet paper.

No its just natures way of saying you azz will smell if you don't. Dogs don't mind walking around with sh*t on there azz. I hope you mind. If you don't I take back the offer don't come over tonight.

because they just can't reach instead they lick their bottoms ,tastyxxand i'm not fxxking wiping it ,picking it up is bad enough
