Apart from physical relationship, what all differentiates a close friendship from love between a man and a woman?

Well, first of all close friendship is love. So, there's really no difference. If it's a close friend, you can't help but love and care about them. What I think you are trying to ask is what's the difference between loving and being IN love with a close friend. Now, loving a close friend is caring for that person and just maintaining a good friendship by being there for that person whenever they need you. Being IN love with that close friend is that feeling you get deep down inside when they cross your mind and things like feeling uncomfortable if that person tells you or ask advice about their relationship. Also, if you find yourself thinking about that person in a sexually. You'll know it when you feel it.

The difference is the actions that both parties take to make it more than friendship. If you feel that it's close friendship then that is what it is. Love has no limits so if you are limiting yourself to asking this question then it is not love b/c if it was you would know. Love conquers all things.

there is n't much of a difference but it is how you feel about a close friend and the one you love- you love a close friend but the one you love might not be your close friend... :)
