Mine lasted to the ripe old age of 11, and he had epilepsy. That was a great age though. I would say from 6-10 years is about average. They actually live the same amount of time as normal, outside hutch, rabbits.

The oldest rabbit I have ever had managed to make it to 12. He was a house rabbit for the last couple of years (my first infact).

Average life span of a rabbit is about 8 years. Some die a lot younger at about 3-5 years, others can go on for 10 years

Domesticated rabbits usually live to be 10-15 years old. Wild rabbits are lucky if they live to be 5.

mine died about 3 months and i was happy. i love animals, but i had a rabbit and he drove me crazy! he ate everything, wires, foam, plastics, wood. i bought things for him to chew he didn't want those he wanted my belongings. and he did a spin around pee thing, where he would spin in circles peeing all over and it smelled sooo bad. i bought a small dog about 4 lbs when i got her and one morning i woke up to my dog screaming b/c the rabbit was trying to have sex with her. he was riding her back! it was horrible i started screaming and the rabbit ran off. i bought an outside cage and put him outside and about 2 weeks of being outside he died. so if you don't have one, don't get one, unless girls are different. could you imagine 10 years of dealing with a rabbit like the one i had.
