of course it does. that's how wise God is!menstruation means shedding off the blood from the wall of the uterus of a woman, and a baby is planted on the woman's uterus.so when a person gets pregnant, (it has something to do with the hormones) menstruation will stop for 9 months or as long as she's pregnant..it always does. although some people will still shed blood during pregnancy and it's not called menstruation. it's called spotting. and when a pregnant woman has that, she should see her OB-GYN since it could be thratening to the baby.

Yes. Menstrual bleeding is a shedding of the uterine lining in the absence of fertilization/ conception/ pregnancy. When you are pregnant, the embryo is implanted in the nourishing uterine lining, and menses is interrupted for the duration.

However, it is not that uncommon to experience some bleeding during pregnancy. Some women even experience some regular, periodic bleeding at about the times they would have expected their periods, and therefore either don't realize they are pregnant immediately, or, if they know they are pregnant, simply believe you can have your period when you're pregnant. (As I said, however, this bleeding is not a period -- never was, and never will be, no matter how many women want to insist otherwise.)

So: Yes, a woman's period stops when she is pregnant. But even so, some women experience bleeding during pregnancy that may seem like a continuation of the period.

Normally, that is the first sign of pregnancy .. though in some cases (rarely) a person can continue having a period for the first 3 months if they conceived on the pill .. or have a spotting like period throughout the entire pregnancy. But that is very uncommon.
Most people will not get a period once the egg is fertilized.

Most of the time yes, but sometimes no, some women still have a period/early pregnancy bleeding, but it doesn't always affect the baby, sometimes ur hormone didn't quite tell your body that you're pregnant...a hormone in ur body has be be fully increased to stop the uterine wall from falling, but in some cases ur period does decide to come, and if the dr says ur okay, then ur okaay

Usually. But if someone has endometriosis, the blood vessels causing the endometriosis can burst as the fetus grows, causing a "period", but it's not the lining of the uterus like in a normal period.

Most of the time yes. That is what your body is intended to do. However, my aunt had a period for several months while she was pregnant. I don't know why or how but she did. So it's possible but unlikely. Good Luck I hope this helps!

Myself, yes. I had a little light spotting in my first trimester of both pregnancies, but after that...no period. I have heard that some women do continue getting their period the entire time.

I think it's one of the best parts of being pregnant. I don't miss it at all :)

Your period is the blood and "food" your baby would be living on IF you were pregnant, but since you're not, you dump out all that stuff because you don't need it.

Your period stops because you ARE pregnant and your baby needs the stuff your body makes.

there is nothing wrong with having a period while pregnant as long as your doc says you and baby are ok.
