Fox News, wants republicans to focus on McCain and Rudy.
Is that fair and balanced. ? I don't think so.
Fox news have received their marching orders.
Fox news hates Michael Savage, because he puts fox in their place five nights a week.

I don't know. McCain couldn't win the nomination last time, so there must have been a reason. Giuliani is all fluff and PR and no substance - he did a good job of cleaning up NY, but running NY is a far different thing from running the US. Being "America's Mayor" can only take him so far.
And I think those are the two best shots Republicans have at winning.

I think that McCain is a very strong candidate, though I have no loyalty to him at this time. He is all about free market, fiscal responsibility (balanced budget), strong defense, human rights, military restraint, etc. I've heard people rant on him, but on closer examination, his strong will and effectiveness lend an intimidation factor which initially raises eyebrows concerning their worries. He does not compromise his principles, but he knows how to work politics and how to defend his principles.
All we need is one strong candidate, and he redefines political power, so while the rest may be struggling, such is irrelevant when the Republicans choose their man. From my perspective, that man is unquestionably McCain.

What's sad about Duncan Hunter-he started the petition for the two border agents and has done alot for Calif border. Of course the media will chop him down and everyone will miss out on a good candidate again--like they did with Howard Dean who HOLLERED too loud.

I'd agree but add that I think the Democrats are a pretty sorry bunch as well. Of all the names on both sides that are even being thrown around (or is it up?) I don't really like ANY of them.

I'm a Republican and I agree with you. I am mildly interested in Fred Thompson, although I would have preferred a different Thompson: Tommy.

Huckabee and Hagel would be good, but since when did the best candidates get the funding and therefore the nomination.

You are not alone, I hope the dems can at least hold a majority in one of the houses of congress. Checks and ballance was restored in November and I would like to see it kept that way.

Yeah, they pretty much suck. I think it will take a Democratic takeover for the Republican party to get their act together. Maybe in their time off they can reflect on what Conservatives of this country are really concerned with.

Huckabee sounded just loony enough for you nutters to get behind. The rest of the country has had enough of evangelicals though.
