Once caught, the brief happiness will pale in comparison! But it can be for some time. However secret means he is always trying to hide something and that can be taxing in itself. Mine has been saved by that, if you wonna know... Mind the limits, though!

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! This will only make things worst. A marriage is nothing to play around with like that. You must go through tough times to make things better. You can't be weak and go out looking for things on the outside. If a secret affair was the way to help a marriage we all would give vows to do so. I think that married man should be a man a go back over his vows if he wants to fix things. What can an outside woman bring to a relationship but more trouble? That's the problem today, we rush into things and can't handle it when the hard times occur. If it's gotten bad enough to commit adultery, a divorce needs to be made. Tell that man to read the bible to find out the price he will pay if he have an affair(commit adultery).

No, you are not a bad person. You can't help it if you are not in love anymore. You are 57 years old, and you know what it takes to make you happy. Your main concern should be if this other guy is worth it. Do you really know him? Sometimes a man can seem like he is perfect until you actually get into a relationship with him. Just make sure he is what you really want before you turn your back on 38 years of marriage. You already know that your husband will be hurt, but you also have to look at your own happiness. If he doesn't make you happy, then I think that you should move on. Life is too short to be unhappy. Good luck!!! I hope everything turns out okay!

Secret affair can not justify the pain that it will coast later on. Committing adultery where both of them are married can not make his own marriage happier. If this man thinks that it will help him I think, he will loose a lot more, trust and love is the main key of a marriage, and if he loves his wife, why did he have this affair in the first place??

At first, the married man may be a little happier since he has developed a new relationship and feels appreciated. And the sex is great. But, as time goes along and the affair continues, it will end up hurting the marriage and making the man want to end the marriage. This will cause unhappiness on his part and the spouse. My best advice: unless he wants to end the marriage, he needs to end the affair.

I doubt it would make him happier in his marriage, and even if it does make him happier, it cerainly wont make his spouse or the other womans spouse happy. Also, having an affair will take time away from his family, kids and wife, so it hurts everyone involved. Instead of trying to make yourself happier by cheating, why not try to make the marriage happier by paying more attention to your wife.

It might... it depends on a lot of factors... does this married man have to have this affair, or is he getting plenty of good sex from his loving and supportive wife at home?

This question is so undefined as to defy answering.

NO...you have or will be stripping your own integrity. Fix what is broken in your marriage FIRST and if there is no fix then divorce. You will then be free to explore your feelings for another unmarried or otherwise spoken for person.
A liar cheater hanging with a liar cheater is fertile ground for inflicting pain on everyone else you touch.

I don't see how leading a life that you feel is so wrong that you need to keep it a secret, can ever make anyone happier.
