I am an avon rep and I love selling avon. I have only just started selling but I have been a customer since I was a teen. They do charge a .75 fee, but they do not charge shipping or delivery fees. I think 75 cents for shipping is not bad. As far as being able to choose the right color from a glossy magazine page, Avon has come up with come really great ideas lately. We now as reps can order color tester strips that you place right over your skin. I was able to find a perfect match foundation on the first try.
Avon is truly a company for women. Avon is involved in campaigns against Domestic violence. Also if you are rep for avon and find out that you have breast cancer, Avon will help pay for medical treatment.
I personally think it is a great company with great products and opportunities for women.

I like avon products and the prices are ok, but I was a rep for a while and half the time what you get out of it really isn't worth the hassle. I spose it's ok if you have lots of friends and family who will buy from you every month, but walking the streets constantly trying to get an order is hard work as like you say most people don't like it and don't buy, and you have to pay for your own books nowadays, and any samples you want to show people also cost a fortune.

My gran was an Avon rep for a good 20 years, no sh!t, she did it until the day she died (literally) 14 years ago.
So I might be a little biased but i love the stuff, make up in general is expensive so they have to keep up with competition. I think it's really good stuff and the fact that someone delivers it to you and you have a chance to hae a look through the brochure at your leisure is a bonus.
I just remember being a kid and my gran having boxes of samples for which I could have my pick, so it may still be true that reps get samples, I guess I am a little biased.

When it comes down to it, if you're passionate about the products and the company, you'll be fine. Ensure that you're a product of your product, educate yourself on the company, ingredients and benefits as much as possible. This will help you to feel more comfortable when you share it with others. Everyone is going to have their own opinions and you're never going to please them all. As a business major, I looked into Avon a while ago but decided against it. However, that doesn't mean that everyone should feel the same way that I do. Later, I found a business that I truly believe in. This is the KEY! You have to make the decision for yourself. Good luck!

I love Avon stuff especially the make up products because
They are reasonably priced but still very good quality
The sizes of products aren't small
They do a range of colour choices not just whats in fashion
The eyeshadow stays on for more than eight hours
The lipstick doesn't dry out my lips
They often have good special offers

I like Avon products, mostly the bath and shower products and sun lotions, as I dont think their make-up is very good.
I also used to be an Avon rep, but when you are starting out its a lot of hard work to make it pay, especially if you're starting from scratch trying to build a client base.

I really love Avon, i've been a customer for three years now and spend between £5 and £20 per month on products. The shower gels, bath products are really good value, as is the make-up.
I'm not too sure about the lingerie that they sell though as i've not tried that.

I like avon products too I think they are very good value for money. The only thing is I like to buy stuff on the spot rather than wait a few days for my order to arrive.

I like Avon...I just don't like the fact the customer has to not only pay taxes (understandable) but to also pay the .25c for the book when you place an order. I know it's only .25 but it's the principle of it. Guess you could say that is my "Pet Peeve" about ordering from Avon......
