They keep telling me to go places and do nice things for strangers, to love everybody and do good things just to do good things. Not that i have a problem doing good things, but why wo't they just sit down and watch me work??

Usually there is an angel on one shoulder and a devil on the other...I'm trying to figure out the opposite of gnomes in your head...I hate to say the image that presents is fairies in your...oops, I'm too nice to say. They can't sit back and watch you work because the fairies might take over...oh my, that would be nasty...

WOW!!!! you have flying gnomes!!!!
Personally, I thought they didn't fly and lived in gardens or in the woods. but cool! Sounds like an infestation of Faries to me (I would say Pixies but they don't tell you to do "good" things lol). Those little goody two shoes Fairies can get real annoying. Chances are..it's Spring and they are wanting you to go out doors and plant things for them. It's just not it their nature to sit back when they can be bothering humans lol... try offering them food and maybe they will stop....good luck

could be you are not focusing enough where you need to be. so your subconscious mind is taking that responsibility on for you.
