are you on birth control? spotting is normal from time to time and since it is dark that is probably what it is. depending on your age as well it could be other issues that are quite normal. ie: premenopause, stress can do it as well as ovulation. if you do get another lengthy period i would contact the doctor. but try not to worry it very well could be a number of normal things. have you had your yearly exams regularly? if you are due now would be a good time to go to put your mind at ease. best of good health to you.

Dear Lindsay, immediately make an appointment with your OB/GYN, and be sure to tell them about the cramps when you call. This should get you to be seen much quicker. It might just be as you thought, leftover discharge from your period, but it could also be much worse. Don't delay, make the call now! There are so many possibilities I can't even begin to list them because I don't want to scare you. Again, take care of this now! Good luck and I hope it turns out to be something simple. God Bless. MsB.

The stomach cramping can be many things. It is possible you are getting ready to start again. Which is normal when your trying to change cycles. If you have cramping that persists for more than 24 hrs, I would suggest alerting your OB/GYN and let him/her know about the situation. They want to see you just to make sure nothing is going on.

Could be cramping from ovulation. I've had that happen a few times. And I've spotted once when that happened. But if it's odd, you might want to note it down and see if it happens again so you can keep track of the dates. It wouldn't hurt to talk to a doctor, just in case.

I would call your OB/GYN and tell him/her immediately. Since you had your period about a week or two ago, you should not be due with another period for another 2 weeks. Double check and make an appointment...what does it hurt? It will put you more at ease if you go and see.

You are ovulating. Sometimes my ovulation pain was worse than what my menstral pains. Are you prone to cysts on your ovaries? If the pain does not go away in a day or two, you need to get to your ob/gyn. She or he may want to run tests. Don't be worried. I had no idea what was going on until I started reading books on how to get pregnant.

Could be a number of things. Ome of which is that every seven years you go through a major hormone overload. You could be in one of those.
