I opened the window the other day and when I went to close it there were about 30 tiny bugs on the inside of the screen. They look sort of like beetles, they have wings, 6 legs, and are brown and a dull yellowish beige. They multiplied like crazy. I went to get bug spray but wasn't sure what they were, therefore I didn't know what to get.

Don't get anything. They're just on the screen, it's not like they're in your pantry or chewing on your clothes. It could be some kind of beneficial insect that eats poisonous spiders or something.
My philosphy is, if I don't know, I let it go.

This is probably the Japanese ladybug. They are some of the first beetles to come out of hibernation. All it takes is a warm day and they come out. They have overwintered in woods, windows, etc. They are beneficial insects. Just open the window and let them fly outside. Some ladybugs will pinch. The old fashioned red ladybugs never pinched but the ne Japanese imports are more aggresive. The dont want to be in your house anymore than you want them door. Open the windows and they wil leave.

6 legs, then they are insects
maybe some kind of Beetles
if they have outer wings that are hard and inner ones to fly with, then they are beetles, Coleoptera
the spray would hurt you more than the insects

Sounds like lady bugs. Nothing to worry about unless you are asthmatic.

It's possible they could be termites, especially since you found them in a window. Take a look at termite pictures and see if that is what they looked like.

Any pesticide should do, you better get rid of them before they multiply more.
