For your Honeymoon you will love Cancun, check out Tulum and Chichen Itza if your a first timer!!

For your hotel I would recommend The Moon Palace or the El Dorado Royale, both are very romantic and you'll love them both.

http://www.cancun.com has alot of info on weather and other tours.

Have fun

=)

Cancun is lovely. Be prepared for it to be quite lively along with the gorgeous powder white sand too.
If youre not too keen on just going for the beach, theyve also got lots of shops, bars, restaurants etc.....
You can go and swim with the dolphins, enjoy catamaran trip and see some fantastic sights too.
I was out there for 4 months and it is great. The entertainment, poeple, lifestyle, food, beaches are all fab.
I do reccommend the Riu Palace Las Americas in Cancun if youd like a bit of luxury, but the Riu Cancun is not bad either (a bit livlier). If you stay at the Palace, you can use all the amenities at the Riu Cancun anyway.
Riu Cancun has something going on 24hours a day.

Hope this helps. Anymore questions, i hope i can help x

Hurricane season, in all of the Caribbean June 1st-Nov 30th. Be aware.
Is it rainy, well weather is unpredictable. I would say Sept or Oct would be the months to watch out for storms in Cancun. Although, we were in Cancun in October and it only rained once at night.

Aruba doesn't get much rain and it's out of the big hurricane area of the Caribbean. They have beautiful white sand beaches.

You don't want to be in New York during August. It's very hot and humid.

If you decide on Cancun, take out travel insurance as a backup plan.

Congratulations and have a great honeymoon. Good Luck

You will love Cancun in August, thats where we went on our honeymoon the 2nd week of August...let me just say its VERY HOT and a little muggy, in fact it was so warm my camera lens fogged up every time I went to take a picture. No rain at that time for us. Omni Cancun is where we stayed, its an all inclusive which we loved. Has gorgeous white sand beaches, with the most clear water ever. I think you would love it, the hotel had a luau one night which was great..we took a boat to Cozymels and rode around the island on golf carts, did parasailing (but make sure you do it at a company, not just one on the beaches, very iffy on safety in my opinion!!) Good luck!!

Beware of hurricanes, if you are thinking ANY part of the Carribbean. I also honeymooned in the Carribbean (Jaimaca) in August of 2004 and was very fortunate that I made in it and out between two massive hurricanes (Charley & Danielle.) Generally the 'rain' you'll see in the islands would be a 20 minute mid-afternoon shower. Not a big deal. If you've never been to the Indian Ocean, I'd say go there. To me, the Carribbean seems so boring compared to something on the African Coast. I was in South Africa last September and it was amazing. Indian Ocean gets my vote!

Cancun used to have fantastic beaches, but after Hurricane Katrina, a lot were taken away by the surf. Subsequently, sand was trucked back in, but wave action has taken most of that away as well.
The pools are nice but the Beach ?????

Maybe you should try Playa Del Carman about 40 miles south.

Went in August two years ago, and weather was fine. Two recommendations.

1) Stay away from an all inclusive at the palace resorts (especially the moon palace). Food is awful, and in the case of the moon palace, it is far away from the strip, and the beach is lousy.

2) Stay in a hotel on the strip
