I had this happen to my new beige carpets a while back. My son spilled purple candle wax in 2 large areas. I called my hubby at work all freaked out and he said to use white paper towels and iron over the candle wax. I kept doing this until all the wax was removed, but then there was still purple dye in the carpet. The next day I got some Woolite Oxy Clean for carpets and used it a couple of times and the stain was gone. This stuff is amazing because I thought nothing would work. I like it so well that I even keep a bottle of it in the laundry room for major stains and it also works really well on upholstery too. Give it a try. I hope it works as well for you as it did for me. Good Luck!

Make a layer of paper towels on top of the spilled wax. Use an iron on top of the paper towels and as the wax melts the paper towels will suck up the melted wax. If the candle was colored and it stained your carpet, you may need to use some kind of stain remover. Ox clean works great and So does Orange Clean. If you have a particularly light colored carpet, the dyes may be almost impossible to remove.

When candle wax is hard, remove as much as you can, use a dull knife. Then take your iron and get it warm NOT HOT, Put a piece of paper towel over the waxed area, and apply the iron for a few seconds, keep doing this until it is all gone, Make sure you keep changing the paper towel, you don't want the melted wax to go anywhere else.

If you put a peice of wax paper over the candle wax , then turn on your iron to a low setting, then slowly iron over the wax paper, the candle wax should come up.

try using newspaper and a warm iron.
lay several sheets of newspaper where the wax is, iron over it until wax is absorbed. you it might take several times and several pieces of newspaper. worked for me with a pink candle. now you would never know it had turned over on the carpet.

use some ice cubes to harden it then just pick it off. Failing that do the opposite and get a brown paper bag and iron over the top to soften it then use a bank card or similar to scrape it off. never put the iron straight onto the carpet though!!
