Lost is going to be on the On demand service, I believe among the free items on Virgin Media, 24 usually gets a repeat on other channels.
I have Sky free channels, but one year they charged for ITV1 Channel 4, and channel 5, which was mean.
If you keep the virgin line phone, you can have both, if you also pay Sky.

I switched away from Virgin when they stopped broadcasting Sky and went to Sky instead. So far I have been much happier - Sky is a faster system, much more reliable and bills me what I agreed. Virgin (ntl) had been overcharging us for months and we hadn't noticed because they kept changing the date they billed us and the way the bills were itemised.
Apart from the ugly dish on the side of my house, I'd say having Sky is a much better decision. I couldn't live without the Simpsons! Plus it works out cheaper for us, even with a BT line rental for the phone.
All in all, I hope Virgin loses lots of customers as they have treated them so badly in the past. They really don't seem to care about keeping people happy so it's what they deserve.

Nobody wins the customer just loses! Virgin should be sorting this out and getting back those channels asap and keeping their customer happy. Instead they are putting the heads in the sand and hoping it dies down, leaving call centre's to deal with a problem they have no comprehension of. Branson maybe a Great Brit but he doesn't understand that the Average Brit just wants to watch the best tv they don't really give a **** who supplies it, Patriotism doesn't stretch to British Tv all we wanna do is relax and watch 20 yanks a brit & an aussie running round an island shouting!

If you want Sky channels, no longer on virgin, the surest way is to get Sky.
Virgin however are going to put Lost into the on demand service, a lot of which is free now.
And they are taking Sky to court to both get fair prices for the channels Virgin sells to Sky, and get the Sky channels at a fair price.
Another option for you is to keep the Virgin line phone, with which you get the base digital channels free of charge, and get Sky for its additional channels. That way you would be paying Virgin for the phone, paying Sky for TV, and getting two versions of digital TV, so you could watch one, while recording another.
What I like about Virgin is the free on demand, I missed life on Mars this week, only had to find it in on demand and I was able to watch it the next day, rather than wait for next week on BBC4.
We have free Sky channels, virgin paid for channels, and freeview channels, also virgin phone, and broadband.
Here's virgins view on events.

If you call Virgin customer services and let them know how much you miss your Sky channels they will upgrade your packages for free as well as give you huge discounts.
I called yesterday, and here's what they offered me:
XL TV Package (all the channels)
4MB unlimited Broadband
Phone line including all evening and weekend telephone calls
V+ box (Virgin's version of Sky+) and free installation
all for £36.50 per month for life (well, as long as I stay with them anyway).
Give it a go, call 150 and press the option for "Thinking of leaving us". You may have to wait on hold for a while, but the monthly savings will be worth it. Good luck.

I'm with Sky and I think depending on what you're after, it can actually work out cheaper than Virgin, and you get the added bonus's of your fave programmes.
