I 've tried to find the film in the library, internet and even ask my teacher can i borrow the tape but she failed to give me the tape. So anyone out there can help me with this assignment I would greatly appriciate it and its due tomarrow.

Here's the assignment:

Explain and disscuss this theory using examples from the documentary, "Architectures of Doom" , using examples from Mein Kampf and the documentary, discuss Hitlers justification from the extermination of the Jews. How did he convince the Germans people to condone it?

First of all, I don't understand how your teacher can expect you to do a report on a movie you couldn't see - especially if she hasn't given it to you after you requested it.

But in any case, here's what I remember from my class last year: Hitler was a VERY persuasive speaker. His method of delivery and his passion made him very convincing, and people enjoyed gathering around to hear him speak because he had such a presence.

He also blamed the Jews for Germany's problems. If I remember correctly, he said things like "they're taking all of our jobs" even though they were lowly jobs that no one else wanted. Basically, Germany needed a scapegoat, and Hitler was able to provide it to them.

That's some background knowledge for you - I'm sorry it doesn't have any direct examples from the two sources as I've never seen it/read his book. I'm sure others will give more helpful info, because I know this wasn't all THAT helpful lol.

See if you have anything in your notes from class? Like a history class or something.

Yet again another contradiction. Also, don't listen to what your teacher has to say for the next week or so, however long this crap about WW2 goes on, they're still teaching you war propaganda which is highly anti-german. I can't believe how hard people try these days to demonize nazis.. If I were to take your side, and say Hitler is evil, I'll tell you now, the nazis themselves were not evil. As one of you would say "They are just under the false dictatorship of Hitler.. Fight the power!" (Heheh..) Hitler never justificated the extermination of the Jews, he never DID exterminate ANYONE. =) Just write that down and say your opinion on the subject varies significantly.

I haven't seen the movie you mention but in Mein Kampf he said it was every man's god given right to defend themselves against the Jew. I guess that was a preemptive strike.

I can only give my opinion on The Evil of the man........He was not able to justify extermination of the Jews....If he had, he would NOT have comitted suicide.
How did he convince the German people..........Fear and Ignorance...
