Quite a few, at least a dozen. The first one my husband and I owned when we were newlyweds had a problem with the pump spewing hot water all over everywhere and everyone....so that only was used once and returned defective, there was a recall on that particular style not long after.

Then there has been a series of different ones, a lot would get replaced because the carafe would get broken, and it was impossible to find replacements.

Now we have one 12 cup Krups for lots of coffee and/or people days and a Senseo one cup for quieter; less caffeine needed days.

The longest lasting one was a less than twenty dollar Bunn that we could get a stainless replacement for, think that was around over ten years. The pump finally gave up and surrendered , it was too tired.

It's all a big guessing game, just like any other appliance that we depend on every day. Good luck with the Hamilton Beach, I have not owned one, so I cannot comment.

Have a good day.

I don't drink coffee so I have'nt outlived any of them...or maybe I've outlived all of them. What I outlive are vacuum cleaners. Lets see 1...2...3...4...5...6. The last one, a Dirt Devil only lived 2 months. Piece of crap.

I'm only on my third coffeemaker, but I seem to break a lot of those glass pots. I have a little Mr. Coffee, I'm the only coffee drinker at our house and it seems to be a good brand.

I have only had 2 in the past 10 years. Well, I guess you could say 4... 2 at home, 2 at the office.

Too many to count, but the Bunn lasted over 20 years. Wish I could afford another one.

Only one. Not much of a coffee drinker. Only when my mother comes to visit. . . .other than that when I am in the mood for some I drink instant or go to Starbucks.

Three in about six years. The one we currently have is a more expensive one, and so far, it's been beautiful (about a year and a half now).
