You should start slowly. I had two c-sections and the last thing you want is to start bleeding again. If you are breastfeeding you should be eating healthier. Write down all that you eat. Honestly look at it and decide what was a bad choice. Stick to fruits and vegetables, less bread more poultry. take a vitamin. Don't begin exercising just yet. See if the scale moves without it. Your job now is to heal from the surgery and take care of the baby. Don't take any diet pills because you are breastfeeding. Good luck.

Are you killing me? You want to be on a diet at this time when the baby needs all the nutrients through your breast milk to grow. Everything you eat or drink, the baby gets it in your breast milk. This is not the time for you to be on a diet or the baby under nourish. You need to drink a lot of fluid especially milk, avoid junk foods, and get yourself nutritious food. For example whole grains, fruits, vegetables, yogurt, chiken, and fish. By the way, Breast feeding helps you losing the baby's weight you carry after delivery! You should be concern about raising a healthy baby!!!

I had a c-section about 8 months ago. I started exercising around 8 weeks post partum (doing pilates). My doctor said it was fine.

You should be okay to diet but make sure to keep your calorie intake up since you are breastfeeding.

I would wait about six months to excersise, you could probably diet but it might affect the nutrients your baby is getting through your milk. I would ask a doctor first to make sure. You will probably loose a lot of weight from just breasrfeeding. I did...and I had a c-section too.

After 8 weeks, you're allowed light activity. No heavy lifting, no sit ups or stomach crunches. Walking or swimming are two great exercises that are low impact and high in rewards. Good luck!!

These are questions that you really should be asking your doctor. Only he/she knows your situation. Contact the clinic and ask the nurse. She should know how to answer these for you that is best for you.
