im only 20 but Luther to me was amazing and although he passed away a while ago now his music to me is and always will remain timeless, he did a lot of brilliant songs but to me his best was "Always and Forever"
anyone else whether your a Luther fan like myself or not do you think the style of Luther will ever come back through someone who is as gifted as Luther was???
sure we have Lemar who is awesome in my view and although not as soul full as Luther still a cracking artist and the nearest thing the planet has to the Luther Vandross style even though Lemar is more R&B than soul but I think Lemar could easily pull off the soul thing if he wanted too
do you think the style of Luther Vandross, Alexander O'Neil, Marvin Gaye etc will ever be repeated???

I know exactly what you mean... Every once in a blue moon there's an artist like that. We can hope for another one soon. Every time I hear "Here & Now" it makes me a little sad now. It was the 1st dance song at my wedding.

Another soul star,tho much underappreciated has also just passed on..Luther Ingram
Luther was a pure soul artist,never to be repeated,simply because every word he sang,he meant,and we the listener believed.There are too many pretenders to the throne these days.Tho i do highly recommend someone like JAHEIM who is the Teddy Pendergrass of todays era,but has the smooth vocal like Luther

no i dont think there will ever be anyone to replace Luther, there are lots of talented artists out there but no one will ever come close to Luther, when you listen to him sing its like nothing else. My favourite song is The Power of Love and also Wait for Love. He was and will be the best.

I also am a LV fan and have much of his music. Another great is Teddy Pendergrass. Very soulful.
