I'm using sony Sony DVD ROM. When I hit the eject button, it just blinks its light and stays inside itself. I was happening to click many times to get it out.

What could be done to solve this problem ??

It may be jammed.....Turn off the pc.
There is a small hole in the front of the drive, you can straighten a paper clip and insert it into the hole to open the drive, then try to restart the pc and see if it closes.....If not its probably a hardware issue, you might need to replace the drive....

do not press the button too hard. it might damage its internal circuit board. secondy, you just might see a small hole besides the tray button. its called the rescue port. Insert a U paper clip ( make it straight) and insert it. into the hole to get the tray out to get ur CD right back to u without more damage to it.
next, get that SONY Drive to an authorised SONY service center. the problem in it could be a mechanism failure of the ejection System, or there could me some thing wrong with the PCB ( programmable Circuit Board) of the ROM / RW .
an authorised person from SONY could guide u better.
Do not try to open the drive yourself. it has a LASER beam in it and could be harmful in radiation.

If there is ne disk inside u can eject it out by using a thin wire which can enter in the small hole (& press it hard) which u can see in ur drive near eject button or somewhere near the tray!

For the rest u can take it to the sony service centre or if ur system is in warranty then u can visit ur dealer from where u purchased it!

If u feel the info useful!Do rate & chose this answer as best!
Do add me to ur contact list for further contacts if u want!

Do you need to get a DVD out? If so, see if there is a miniature hole somewhere on the door of the DVD drive. Use a paperclip end to stick into the little hole. Push and the drive will be forced out. You're actually activating the little gears inside to open the drive door. Hope this helps!

the tray gears must have worn or stuck with dusts.

get a ruler to pull a little when pressing the eject button.
