I have a suspicion that my husband has been peeing in the sink. I'm really disgusted by this. And he doesn't even realize to try to hide this by cleaning the sink good afterwards. Is there any reason why he would do this? Laziness? Immaturity? Should I say something to him? Jesus I don't know what to think. Please don't send me answers that just point out the obvious that he's gross or whatever, please help lol.

What I would do is play dumb at first. Act like you don't know what is in the sink and ask him "Honey, I want you to come look at something" Then show him the sink. Say to him "What is this? I don't know what this is or where it's coming from". See what his reaction is when he is innocently confronted. He may tell you right away or he may be too embarrassed and deny all. But sometimes, after being innocently confronted, they will stop the behavior since it's clear you noticed something in the sink. If he boldly confesses to it, then you need to tell him that it needs to stop. It is very unsanitary and that's what toilets are for. If he fesses up and continues to urinate in the sink, seriously, I would let him know that you intend to call in a plumber and have your own sink put in because that's not fair to you to have to use a "toilet" to brush your teeth in! He may reconsider where he urinates when he knows a bill of several thousand dollars will be coming his way if he don't change his habit.

I think you should say something to him and ask him why???

I am not sure what his reasons could be only he knows that but if anyone were to pee in my sink I would ask and want to know why and then make it clear never do it again.

My ex would sleep walk and he would at times pee in a corner or closet and then go back to bed after I realized what he was doing I made sure when he got up I took him in the bath room and left him in there.. he made out just fine, thank goodness in time it did stop. Could your hubby be doing htis in his sleep? if so then he has no idea really and you may have to keep an eye on him and hope he does not sleep walk for long.

Also not sure but do you have any cats? reason I am asking I had two cats and at one point for some reason they started using the sink as a bathroom (yuck) took them to the vets and they were healthy and the vet had no idea why they were doing this. I changed the litter box all the time and got the dirty litter out every day but I had to squirt them with a water bottle every time they got up on the sink and in time they started to use the litterl box again -- they are long gone by now passed away but I never had any cat after them do that.

Good luck

to catch him doing this take and pour bleach in the sink let it sit all day, and then when he is about to come let it out of the sink.. If he is peeing in the sink the bleach is going to fume after he does it.. because it has sat there all day.. and yeah he might think it is cool to do so, may be laziness, I have no idea.. if it is something he might have to go to the dr for, I have never heard of this disease.. try leaving the sink full of water too, to see if he will empty it when he goes to the bathroom.. Like he can not pee anywhere else.. good luck with this..

I would ask him. Is this often? How many baths do you have in the home? You can only resolve this by talking to him about it. Hopefully he will be embarrassed and stop. Also clean the sink with bleach before you need to put your food and or dishes in there.

Maybe he is sleep walking. Or it could be a form of waking dream or sleep apnia, they say when a person is in between sleep states they could be prone to many abnormal behaviors. And I am being serious. He might think he's going in the toilet, when he is actually doing something totally different. Is he on any persription meds? Maybe you should inquire about it. It doesn't make any sense for a person to pee in a sink.

I guess if I were you, I would try to catch him in the act and be like "What the hell are you doing? That's gross, please use a toilet" because I don't think I could think of a way to bring it up. He probably does it for a combination of the reasons you listed: laziness, immaturity, maybe lack of hygiene??? I don't know, but yes, that is pretty damn gross.

If he is going to act like a child, treat him like one. Put clear plastic rap (like saran wrap)over the sink tonight before you go to bed, then when he gets up to go, listen for the splash. It may not cure your problem, but it will be funny!

Lazy, rude, inconsiderate and just plain nasty. Definitely chew his butt off. And make HIM clean the house for a while.
