When we say 'each' with a subject, the verb that follows must be in singular or plural? It is 'each student studies' or 'each student study'?

singular. It's basically the same as 'each one'. 'Each one is responsible for his or her own dishes' = 'each is responsible for his or her own dishes'.

each student studies . . . is correct. its quite confusing. indefinite pronouns (each, either, anyone...) are singular and take singular verbs. (In your sentence, studies is a singular verb)
